On the eve of my 2nd #rebcsea event, I thought I'd take a moment to reflect on what I've learned and what I've accomplished since then.

There I discovered that I'm not so different from other folks who are blogging. Some of these people I actually know, I've also read many a blog post written by several of these people. As a result, the barriers of fear, intimidation, and anxiety were lowered.
After years of procrastinating, I committed myself to writing a blog. And it's not the prison sentence I had anticipated! It is a struggle sometimes to come up with topics, to stay focused, to not ramble... But I am finding that one post generates the idea the next and the next.
Ok, I'm still not perfect (shocker!) My writing style and grammar will not win any awards. But I think I am getting a little better as I go along.
I'm not the most consistent yet, however, I am averaging 2 posts a month. Amazingly, my 1st post has had over 1800 reads! (How does that happen!)
Is it successful? Maybe in a small way it is. I do get comments from existing clients regarding my posts. Has it lead to any real business? Not as a whole, but I think it has given me some exposure and credibility to potential clients and some new ideas to follow through with current clients.
So, what's next for me? I'll be attending my 2nd Rebar Camp tomorrow. They're anticipating over 700 attendees! We'll see what new things inspire me! What I hear the most about now is Video Blogging aka Vlogging... maybe someday...
